It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antal “Tony” Reitenbach Jr., 57, on December 3rd, 2024. He was born on December 26th, 1966, in Chicago, IL to Antal Sr. and Elizabeth Reitenbach.

Tony spent his career working in construction as a skilled carpenter. His craftsmanship was more than just a trade—it was an art, leaving behind pieces that will stand for generations to come. He had a deep love for all animals, always showing kindness to every creature that crossed his path. Tony enjoyed gardening and cooking and found happiness in preparing meals for family and friends. He had a profound love for his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tony is survived by his daughter Kristin (Phil) Hiett of Silver Lake, WI, his son Nicholas Reitenbach of Grayslake, IL, his three brothers Ted (Marie) Reitenbach of Geneva, IL, Joe (Jana) Nagy of Benton, Kentucky, and Sandor Nagy of Boulder, Colorado. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

Tony is preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Reitenbach and father Antal Reitenbach Sr.

A celebration of life will be held on June 21st, 2025, at The Chapel in Libertyville at 11:00 AM.
