David Wayne Gardner 64, of Winthrop Harbor, Il passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side after a long illness on Friday September 27, 2019. David was born on November 17, 1954 to parents Wayne and Jean (LaPointe) Gardner. David was a 1973 graduate of Zion Benton Township High School. David was a lifelong resident of Winthrop Harbor and married his wife Sandra (nee Norman) in March of 1980. David was an accomplished mechanic who lived for family vacations at his parents resort, Pine Point Lodge in Iron River, WI.

David is survived by his loving wife Sandra of 39 years; his beloved children; Bryan (Abagayle), and Meghan Gardner, grandchildren; Ava Tinsley, Molly Shower and Allison Bradbury, sisters; Carol Gardner, Mary Whited and Patricia Moore, brothers; Wayne Gardner Jr. and Eric Gardner. David was preceded in death by his parents; Wayne and Jean, brother; Joe Gardner and sister; Gail Espinosa.
