Frederick (Fritz) Wheeler, 87, of Waukegan passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born May 11, 1935 in North Chicago to the late Lee and Mary Wheeler. He was honorably discharged from the Army after serving two years. He then went on to work for 36 years at the U. S. Postal Service. Fritz was an avid golfer, life-long Bears fan and loved the family functions. Fritz was survived by his loving wife of 63 years Mary, beloved children; Julie (Bob) Dreyer, Sharon (Dennis) Dowell, Jeff (Margaret) Wheeler, Beth (Jeff) Tuthill, Kathy (Jack) Miller, Tom Wheeler, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Dismas Church, 2600 Sunset Avenue, Waukegan on Monday, November 21, 2022.  Mass will begin immediately after the visitation at 11:00 am.
