Gloria Louise Moyano, “Glory B”, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2020 at Advocate Condell Hospital and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 80 years. Clodomiro (Rocky) Moyano, husband to Gloria of 33 years, preceeded her death on October 11, 2016.

Gloria was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Richard Burt and Lydia Procupchuk Burt on March 16, 1940. She went to school in Cranford, NJ and later attended college at the University of Kentucky. Gloria worked for TV Guide Magazine as a programming editor for a few years. She married James Wiltse in 1963 and then dedicated her life to raising her children. She married the love of her life in Waukegan, IL on December 24, 1983. Gloria and Rocky spent the rest of their lives in Antioch, IL.

Gloria is cherished by her surviving family: Cherie-Noelle (Jamal) Bouker, David Wiltse, Shawn (Katrina) Wiltse, and Elizabeth Fielder. 9 Grandchildren: Rachael Gianoli, Logan Bouker, Adam Bouker, Grace Bouker, Lydia Fielder, Shane Fielder, Charlie Fielder, Kylee Wiltse, and Austin Wiltse.

Gloria’s life revolved around her family. She constantly sacrificed her time and energy and offered up counsel to nurture family relationships. Her motto for the family was “United we stand, divided we fall.” She modeled Jesus’ teachings of love and forgiveness and encouraged others to do the same. Whether it be embracing new faces with a smile and instantly treating them as long-lost family, wearing the most sparkly and bright outfits she could find (or make), or being quick to empathize and share her heart with others, Gloria lived and loved as passionately as possible. She left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Gloria was an active member of the Christian community and spent Sunday mornings at Northbridge Church or Chain of Lakes Community Bible Church. Gloria loved all babies and they were drawn to her! She had a magical quality of interacting with, calming and entertaining babies. For 30 years, she blessed moms by volunteering at children’s nurseries including MOPS, AWANA, and Women’s Bible Studies. She cared not only for children but also for the elderly and animals. For eight years, she was the primary caregiver for both of her parents in their declining health and her husband, Rocky, in his last days fighting Cancer. Throughout her entire life, she cared deeply for all animals, a caring mother to every dog. Gloria was a creator, innovator and artist at heart. She designed her own clothing, hats and jewelry. In her last twenty years, she became an expert in the art of digital photography. Gloria was a charter member of the Antioch Fine Arts Foundation. She found beauty in life, nature, flowers, words, and most of all, people. The only thing adorning her walls in greater quantity than her many beautiful canvas oil paintings of barns, were photographs of family.

All those who knew and loved Gloria are invited to join the family for the Celebration of Life which will take place at Hastings Lake Shelter A, 21155 West Gelden Road, Lake Villa , IL on September 19th from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Picnic tables are available, but you can bring a chair if you wish. Family members will start an Evocation at 1:30 p.m. and offer a second at 3:30 p.m. All are welcome to join in sharing a loving memory as well! Memorial balloons (biodegradable) will be released at 4 p.m. to celebrate Gloria’s reunion with Jesus. Gloria’s family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Winiger and the Advocate Condell medical staff, nurses, hospice nurses and chaplains for their love, care, guidance and support!
