Helen Frost McMullen 1922-2019

On Monday, August 5, 2019, Helen McMullen, passed away after blessing this world with 97 loving years.

Helen was born on February 6, 1922 in Chicago Illinois to Florence and George Frost. An avid dancer as she met her husband when he swept her off her feet one night at the Aragon Ballroom. She was married Raymond McMullen for nearly 50 years and they had one daughter, Raejean. Helen had a passion for art, sailing, music and family. She leave her family with so many drawings, paintings, photographs and sketches from years ago. In her youth she played the trumpet and twirled a baton as a Majorette. She loved yachting and spending time with her husband on their sailboat Centurion on Lake Michigan. She took every opportunity to love and spoil her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Later in life she took companionship with her partner Frank. She had a quick wit and strong spirit and will be missed by many.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Raymond McMullen and companion Frank Morosky. She is survived by her daughter Raejean Shmikler, her two grandchildren, Jennifer Baker and Samantha Kalamaras. Her three great grandchildren, Cassidy, Dominic and Alexana.
