Jimmie Dean Wilkie Jr., age 56, loving friend to many, passed away on April 2nd, 2021 in Waukegan Illinois.  He leaves behind his brother David, David’s wife Jenny , and their children Nicole and Jack.  His mother Patricia Wilkie passed away last July.

Jimmie was born in 1964 and grew up in the Chicagoland area and developed many friends from the entire region.  He was known to be friendly, compassionate, artistic, and hard working.  He touched many people’s lives with his humor and kindness.  Jimmie loved the odd, unusual, and humorousness of the bizarre which made him so funny and interesting. He also had many talents and jobs spanning from waiter, retail sales, and spent most of his last twenty years at Salvation Army in various roles. Jimmie loved music and his guitars. He also had a deep spiritual life which was strengthened at Salvation Army.

Close acquaintances and family will have a closed memorial service on Saturday April 24th to celebrate his life.  He will be missed by many and leaves an emptiness in our hearts, but we know he is in a happier place now.  In lieu of any flowers or gifts please donate to the Salvation Army of Waukegan as they help so many in need.
