Jimmy Curtis of Round Lake Beach, age 72, passed on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Thrive of Lake County in Mundelein with his daughter Molly Curtis, by his bedside. Jimmy was born February 29, 1948 in Booneville, Mississippi to the late Lee and Margaret (Gumm) Curtis.

Jimmy had a great love for fishing, enjoyed cooking, playing horseshoes, poker and just spending time with his family. Jimmy served in the US Navy from 1967 to 1969.

Jimmy is survived by his children Jimmy (Angela) Curtis, Jeannie (Arnie) Poppe and Molly Curtis; his grandchildren Anthony and Daniel Royce, Jacob Poppe and Lily and Joseph Coleman; his brothers Ronald (Kendra) Curtis of Round Lake Park, Tony (Marge) Curtis, of Huntsville, Arkansas and sister Mary (Dave) Krueger of Round Lake Park; his ex-wife and dear friend, Linda Weirich; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Margaret Curtis, his wife Bridget and his brothers Stephen Strange, David Curtis and Philip Curtis and his sisters Juanita Cox and Leda Mason and his nephew Mike Curtis.

All services will be held privately.
