Joseph (Joe) Maiworm passed away peacefully at the age of 80 years old January 11, 2024 with his loving wife Cathy by his side. Joe and Cathy had a true love story that lasted 55 amazing years. It is impossible to write Joe’s obituary without having Cathy mentioned in it just as much as Joe. They were truly inseparable throughout all phases of life.

They worked together in a family run tool and die machine shop for decades. They both always desired to have a big family and God blessed them with one daughter and three sons. At the age of 47 years old Joe suffered a very debilitating stroke. This tragic event strengthened their love for each other more than ever. They did not allow it to stop them from living and enjoying life together.

They continued to run the machine shop and vacationed every summer in their favorite spot in Winneconne, WI for their annual fishing trip.

When both of their health began to deteriorate over the years, they became each other’s caregivers. They had to give up driving their car but could be seen riding around their neighborhood together in their electric wheelchairs.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Cathy, daughter; Jodi (Jasper) Lombardo, son; Steve, daughter in laws; Rosa and Megan, grandsons; Joey (Brittany) Joseph (Ainsley) and granddaughter Lydia. Joe was preceded in death by his sons Jamie and Kevin. Now all 3 of them are fishing their favorite spot on the Wolf River. Joe is now at rest with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
