Kimberly (Kim) Sue Murphy (Hosna) 66 passed away on October 3, 2023, at Ascension Alexian Brothers – Hospice Residence in Elk Grove Village, IL. Born in Michigan City, IN and residing in Mundelein, IL.

Kim was born July 3, 1957, in Michigan City, IN to William & Virginia (Grimes) Hosna. She is survived by her husband Micheal Murphy; niece Robin Krassow (Hosna); brother Micheal Hosna, sister Virginia Pamley (Hosna); stepdaughter Nicole Rud (Murphy).

Kim graduated in 1975 from Elston Sr. High School in Michigan City, IN she then went to Indiana University, Bloomington, IN for her Lab Technician degree. Kim started off working at Memorial Hospital and St. Anthony Hospital, in Michigan City following college.

Kim last resided in Mundelein, IL with her husband Mike where they built their retirement home together. She loved going to the casino and traveling with her husband. When Kim came back to Michigan City to visit family, she made sure to make her drive around Washington Park Beach and walk on the pier to the lighthouse.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, October 28th at 1pm CST at Northern Illinois Funeral Services in Volo Illinois.
