Mary (Bolstad) Lavold age 90 of Crystal Lake, IL went home to be with the Lord peacefully on September 9, 2022.  Mary was born on January 8, 1932 to Albert and Grace (Turner) Bolstad in Towerville, WI.  On January 9, 1951, she married Lloyd Lavold in La Crescent, MN. Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie (Rich) Hammershoy; son-in-law, James McShea; four grandchildren: Jennifer (Sabino) Morales, Jason (Regina) McShea, Heather (Dan) Hudson and Sara Lavold; nine great grandchildren: Justin McShea, Brianna Hudson, Sydney Green, Cameron Elam, Carissa Hudson, Gavin McShea, Jayden Elam, Aiden Hudson, Mia McShea; and sister, Alma Miller.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Lavold, daughter, Sheila McShea; grandson, Eric Elam; brothers, Donald and Arthur Bolstad, sisters, Jean Hohn and Joyce Sheldon; parents, Albert and Grace Bolstad.

Lloyd and Mary lived and worked in Illinois most of their married life later retiring to Pensacola, Florida. Mary returned to Viroqua in 2018 and to Illinois in 2020 to be closer to immediate family. We are blessed to have had her near us these last four years, she will be missed beyond measure.

Visitation will be held Sunday September 18, 2022 from 5 to 8 pm at Vosseteig Funeral Home 123 W. Decker St., Viroqua, WI 54665. Visitation will continue on Monday September 19, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 am with a 11:00 am Service. Interment will follow to Franklin Cemetery in Viroqua, WI.
