Ron Diedrich passed away peacefully Saturday at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born July 14, 1945, the sixth child of Leo and Evelyn Diedrich. On June 4, 1977 Ron married the love of his life Madelyn (Madge) Cecka in Zion Lutheran Church in McHenry. They spent almost 44 wonderful years together.

Ron had a variety of jobs the longest as an electrician for Dow Chemical in Ringwood, IL. He enjoyed life and all his hobbies: boating, classic cars, traveling, hiking, music, woodworking and any mechanical work. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. His kindness, smile and thoughtfulness will be missed by all.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Madelyn, beloved children: Kym (Phil) Belyaev, Kevin (Katie), Greg (Christine), Leah (John) Ruzich and Troy (fiancé Mariam), fond grandchildren; Drew, Kati, Zack, Lexi, Colleen, Ryan, Braydon, Benjamin, Arlo, Jane, Eleanor, Johnny and Luka. In addition to his children and grandchildren Ron had four brothers, six sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of his life will be held in June. In lieu of flowers a donation to the cancer society in Ron’s name would be appreciated.
