Sharon A Reinhofer (nee Matsie), 69, of Zion passed away March 8, 2024 at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Sharon was born June 14, 1954 in Chicago, IL to Rocco & Virginia (Griffin) Matsie.  Sharon grew up in Lindenhurst and graduated from Grayslake High School. Sharon loved to bowl and make crafts for everyone, and worked at Trackside Waukegan for 30 years.

She was happily married to the love of her life, Roger Reinhofer for nearly 40 years until his passing in 2016.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Jeremy) Hadad & Denise (Kent) Padgett, her sister MariAnne Armstrong, her eight grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, mother Virginia, step-father August, father Rocco, and brother James.

An open house celebrating Sharon’s life will be held on Saturday, March 23, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM, at the Lake Villa VFW post 4308, 130 E. Grand Ave Lake Villa, IL 60046.
