Timothy Craig Spivey, 61, of Zion, IL passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 surrounded by loved ones in his home. Tim was born on June 12,1960 in Waukegan, IL. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sue Spivey; his children–Johnny (Kristina) Spivey and Jamie Beake (Kevin Kensler); grandchildren–Skyler Beake, Wren and Emlyn Kensler; siblings– Marcella Bowling, Randy Spivey and Gregory (Rose) Spivey, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ozel Faye Lento (Spivey) and William McKinley Spivey, and his brothers William Jeffery Spivey and Rickey Spivey.

Tim loved people and he loved Jesus. In a room full of people, he would speak with as many folks as time allowed, talking their ears off. He had a simple, yet profound faith…asking questions about God that spurred deeper thought and conversations about the Lord. Tim worked janitorial most of his life and always went above and beyond expectations. Someone once said “there is not a vacuum cleaner in existence that could satisfy that man.” Tim also loved to eat, was an avid Chicago sports fan, and enjoyed riding motorcycles. His family and close friends affectionately called him “Timmy.”

Memorial Service Details:

There will be a memorial service celebrating Tim’s life on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Meadowridge Baptist Church in Zion, IL. Service will begin at 1:00pm. Food will be provided following the service.
