Tim “Smitty” J. Smith 58 of Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away on April 9, 2024. Tim was born in Libertyville, Il June 19, 1965 to James M. Smith and Marcella Smith. Tim was the youngest sibling to Julie (Juan) Villarreal and Donna Arden. Tim spent his younger years growing up in Zion and Campton KY. Tim met the love of his life Cecilia Shultis and was married on November 16, 1984. Tim and Cecilia welcomed their son Timothy Smith Jr., the following year.

Tim loved not only his family and friends but motocross, riding his Harley, music, writing music, playing and singing. Tim also enjoyed watching football and rooting for his AFC team the Bengals and the NFC team the Packers. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his friends, rocking out, jamming to music, and other various activities.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Cecilia Smith, son Timothy Smith Jr., his parents James and Marcella, sisters; Julie (Juan) Villarreal, Donna Arden and nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his nephew Jason Arden.

Visitation will be held Monday April 15, 2024 from 12-1pm with a 1:00 pm service at The Way Church 600 College St., Winthrop, IL 60096. Burial will follow after the service at Mount Olivet Memorial Park in Zion.
