Jill Kundert

Jill Kundert 76, of Gurnee passed away at Vista Medical Center in Waukegan on February 20, 2021. She lived in the Waukegan/Gurnee area her entire life. After graduating from Michael Reese School of Nursing in 1965, she worked as a nurse at Vista East Medical Center back when it was known as Victory Memorial Hospital. She retired in 1998 as a result of complications from Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT), neurological condition. In her retirement, she managed to live independently and happily in spite of severely challenging physical issues. She was sweet. thoughtful, selfless, and she brought only joy to her family and friends.

Jill is survived by her sister; Jody, a niece; Nadia, nephew; Amir, 6 great nephews and nieces, step-mother; Anne and her parrot of 21 years, Coco.
She was preceded by her parents; Paul and Joy (Walsh) Kundert.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to CMTA – Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association cmtausa.org or National Wildlife Federation nwf.org in her name.

There will be a Celebration of Life (at graveside) at 11:00 am on June 12, 2021 at North Shore Garden of Memories 1801 Green Bay Rd, North Chicago, IL 60064.
