Stephen J. Tanis

Stephen J Tanis, 69, of Island Lake, IL passed away peacefully on September 4, 2019 surrounded by loving family.

Steve was born on May 1, 1950 to Bernard and Shirley Tanis (Ockes) and is survived by his son David Tanis of Palatine, IL and his brother Peter Tanis or Lakemoor, IL.

Steve was a carpenter by trade, spending 28 years with Pella Windows & Doors. He had many passions including working on cars, building models, and competitive shooting. He had a great interest in world history, particularly in regard to war planes and tanks.

Steve was loving father and will be remembered fondly by all that that had the pleasure of calling him a friend.
