Patricia Capps, 47, a longtime resident of Johnsburg lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer on December 6, 2021 at her sister’s home in Johnsburg, Illinois. Patricia was born on August 15, 1974 in Woodstock, Illinois. She was the fourth child to Kathie (Flannigan) and the late Lecil Capps. She attended Johnsburg schools until she graduated in 1993. Patti, as she was best known, was proudest of her two sons, Jesse and Ryder who her love for ran as deep as her dimples. Her second proudest moment was when she received a kiss from Ryan Chiaverini on Windy City Live after receiving a makeover on the show. Patti spent many years working in the service and retail industry. Her friendly, gregarious nature seldom met a stranger. She could strike up a conversation about anything with anyone. All who met her had a friend for life and described her as a kind soul. Patti enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her best friend, Kym Krueger. Patti is survived by her children, Jesse and Ryder; Her mother, Kathie Capps; her three sisters, Lisa (Dan) Wikman, Melissa (Jack) Tinsley, and Katie/Lucy (Reggie) Blount; her brother, Jon (Jenni Dedic) Capps; six nephews, Jack III, Jake, Dillon, Matt, Kyle, and Luke; four nieces, Brittany, Brooke, Bethany and Saida; and numerous cousins and aunts and uncles. Patti was preceded in death by her father, Lecil Capps. The family will host a celebration of life for Patti on Friday, December 10 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Johnsburg Community Club 2315 W Church St. Johnsburg, Illinois 60051. Please come share with her family a story or two of how Patti touched your life. |
