Rose Ann Slagle (nee Felice) passed away peacefully in her sleep July 20, 2022 after a five-year battle with Alzheimers. A woman of great faith, she is now in God’s loving hands. Rose came from a large Italian family and was beloved by all for her warmth and her smiles. She was the communications supervisor at Loyola Hospital until retirement, was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hillside and resided in Maywood, IL for 63 years before moving to the northwest suburbs. She was married to Charles Slagle for 58 years, and enjoyed boating, camping and spending time at their second home, a farm in Farrar, Mo. She loved holidays, and her home was always full of love, laughter and great food! Rose was preceded in death by a son, Michael, her husband, Charles, her brothers, Johnny, Frank, David, Joey, Mike and Bob Felice, and sister, Jean Kulp. She is survived by her son, Steve, daughter-in-law, Heather, grandson, Steven, sisters Geneva Ramsey, Dori Hausman and Esther Elmore, and many cherished nieces and nephews, their children and their children’s children. The world was a better place for having her in it. |
