Dorothy Freeston (nee Tarachowicz)

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our mother Dorothy Freeston on January 31, 2023 at the age of 90 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Darlene (Kurt) Brown, Debra Tyus, the late Robert (Dorothy) Freeston, Janet (Larry) Mabe, Sharon Schryer, Christine (Bill) Patryn, and Cynthia (Jim) Alexakos; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Monika Tarachowicz; and brothers, Albin (Betty), Edward, and Richard.

Dorothy raised her family in Chicago and moved from the Logan Square neighborhood when she retired. She decided upon the quiet village of Lake Villa and had lived there since 2000.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and all of her grandchildren as well as her lifetime friends, Marie and Betty. She will

be immensely missed.

At Dorothy’s request, a private interment will be scheduled.
