Barbara C Schramm

RINGWOOD – Barbara “Barb” C. Schramm, 77, of Ringwood, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 11, 2023, with loved ones by her side.

She was born February 7, 1945, in Chicago, to Helen Buckner and Joseph Benevic. On Sept 14, 1974, she married the love of her life, William “Bill” Schramm, at First United Methodist Church in McHenry.

She retired from Northern Illinois Medical Center (Centegra of McHenry), following 28 years employment.
She enjoyed boating on the Fox River, her swimming pool, cooking, her garden, crafting, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her step-children, Laura (Mike Becker) Schramm and Bill (Laura DeGroot) Schramm; loving granddaughter, Taylor (Alex) Schramm-Martinez; and two great grandchildren, Marek & Vivian.

She was one of six children. Survived by her sister Helen (Nicholas) Comasto.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving Husband, Parents, sisters; Pat, Mary, and Jean; and bother Eddie, as well as many other loved ones.

Celebration of life to be held at a future date.
