Raymond Bruno Mika

Raymond Bruno Mika passed away peacefully on October 9th, 2023 at the age of 69 in Grayslake. He was born on October 3rd, 1954 in Chicago to Bruno and Sophie Mika. Raymond worked for Precision Plating for over 25 years and also worked for Advanced Plating Technologies. He enjoyed taking care of his home, gardening, oldies music, cars, holiday traditions & spending time with friends and family. He always had a handful of suckers for his grandchildren.

Raymond is survived by his children, Tiffany (Derek Getsla), Natalie (Michael Parkhurst), Daniel (Airen), and Raymond (Bria);  his sweetheart, Janice Petrovic, his dog and best Buddy Squanto, his siblings; Rosemarie Hersey, Joseph (Kathy) Mika, Norbert (Laura) Mika, Gary (Holly) Mika, and Bruno (Karen) Mika; his grandchildren Alexander, Logan, Madison, Kaylee, Aiden, Cassadee and Navani; his ex-wife Brenda Mika; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bruno and Sophie Mika, sisters Geraldine Stanek, Kathleen Mathews and Mary Cushman.

Visitation will be held at St. Gilbert’s Catholic Church located at 301 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030 from 9:30-11:00 AM on October 13th, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM.

Raymond will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
