Richard (Rick) W. Beirau

Born: August 24, 1957 in Melrose Park, Il.  Died:  February 23, 2024 in Barrington, Il.

Richard (Rick) W. Beirau passed away peacefully 02/23/24 at Journey Care in Barrington, Il. with family by his side.

For most of Rick’s adult life, he was an Owner/Operator over the road truck driver.  He moved to Florida in 2000 and got his Master Captain’s License to operate large yachts and other large watercraft. Remembered for his mechanical abilities and interests in anything that goes fast, Rick eventually started his own business building and repairing high performance engines for Power Race Boats and other vehicles.  Due to illness in 2012, Rick moved back to and lived in Illinois until his death.

Rick is survived by his brother Dave (Gayle) Beirau, sisters Sue (John) Weseman, Christine (Jim) Herrmann, Jackie (Tim) Mahoney, daughter Katie (Mike) Hanzalik, grandson Wyatt, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother Robert (Bob) Beirau.

 A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.  Memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
