Diane Jarosinski, age 75, lost her battle with stage 4 breast cancer on May 11, 2024. She was born on April 24, 1949 in Hohenfels, Germany in a displaced persons camp during World War II. Diane immigrated to the United States on the USS Black landing in Orange, Virginia at first, and eventually making her way to Chicago, Illinois. Diane was the daughter of the late Apolinary and Franciszcka (Matyjasik) Pulkowski. She is survived by her children, Michael Jarosinski (Son), and Sandra Peto (Daughter). She was preceded in death by her late husband, Richard Jarosinski, of 44 years. Diane or “Gigi” was a remarkable woman. She wasn’t just a grandmother; she was the embodiment of love and sacrifice. Always putting others before herself and befriending the lost and lonely of this world. Anchored by her faith, her fearless heart and fighting spirit inspired us all. Throughout her life, Gigi cherished the simple joys of spending time with her great grandchildren and loved shopping for a good deal. She was a passionate about sewing, gardening and cooking. Gigi will be fondly remembered for her sassy personality and her ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. Her legacy of kindness and perseverance will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Northern Illinois Funeral Services at 31632 N. Ellis Drive, Unit 209, Volo, IL 60073. Gigi will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and cherished by all who knew her. |
