Kenneth Biek

Kenneth Biek, age 81, of Barrington, IL and Lac du Flambeau, WI passed away on March 22, 2020. He will be dearly missed by his wife Linda, his children Annette (Brian) English and Andrew Biek, and his grandchildren Emily and Michael English.

Ken was born and raised in Barrington, IL and continued to live in Barrington for his entire life. He was proud of his hometown and often shared fond memories of the good times he had visiting the park district pool, making lifelong friends and exploring Barrington in the 1950s. Ken earned a Ceramic Engineering degree from the University of Illinois where he met Linda, his wife of 57 years.
After earning his degree Ken went on to have a 40+ year career in industrial ceramics and became an expert in his specialized field with responsibilities that ranged from manufacturing to development to sales. Ken and Linda purchased a second home in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin in 1991 and spent many happy times in the Wisconsin Northwoods where Ken enjoyed fishing, golfing, entertaining, and games of chance.

Ken’s passions included travel, visiting Europe, Fighting Illini sports, going on cruises, planning many adventures, the 20-years spent wintering in Destin, FL, watching the colorful sunsets on Lake Minette, and sharing a beer or Johnnie Walker scotch. Most of all he loved his family and close friends.
