James William Churchill

James William Churchill 89, of Island Lake, Il passed away at home peacefully with his loving family by his side. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He retired as a Chicago Firefighter after serving more than 30 years.  James was an avid fisherman and loved fishing from his boat on Island Lake and Bangs Lake in Wauconda, IL.

James is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Joan, his beloved children; son Michael Churchill, daughters; Claudia (Paul) Zarate, Carolyn (Gary) Chavez, brother; Thomas (Barbra) Churchill, grandchildren; Joshua Zarate, Jessica (Micah) Unruh, Alison (Michael) Patti, Sarah (Andrew) Howell, great-grandchildren; Blaire and Rachel Degenhardt, Sawyer Patti and Grayson Howell.

He was pre-ceded in death by his parents; Daniel and Joy and a son David.
